pour of the week
the get-right.
10 min · serves 1 · juice
ingredients
- 2 medium beets
- 2 medium carrots
- 1 apple
- 1 lemon
- 1 inch ginger
steps
1. wash and rough-chop
scrub the beets and carrots, core the apple, peel the ginger. no need to be precious about it — everything's going through the press.
2. press it
run everything through the juicer, ginger last so it doesn't get lost in the pulp.
3. pour over ice
stir once, pour over ice, drink before it separates.
gulf coast note
beets and carrots hold through humidity better than most produce — a big reason they show up in Gulf Coast pressing kitchens year-round, not just in cooler months.
