- 0.25 cup fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
- 0.5 cup raw honey
- 1 cup water
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 2 cups fresh orange juice
- 2 cups sparkling water
steps
1. simmer the syrup base
simmer the turmeric, ginger, and water together to extract full flavor and color.
2. strain and sweeten
strain out the solids, stir raw honey and black pepper into the warm liquid until dissolved.
3. cool
cool the syrup completely before using.
4. build the elixir
combine 2-3 tbsp of the golden syrup with orange juice per serving, top with sparkling water and ice.
